Images have emerged of Kylian Mbappé appearing to tell Jordi Alba that he would ‘kill him in the street’ during PSG’s 4-1 win over Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Mbappé was the star of the show, as he scored a hat-trick at Camp Nou to give his team a comfortable cushion of three goals heading into the second leg at Parc des Princes on March 10.
In addition to his scoring antics, the young forward also had a heated conversation with Alba.
“You are getting too big for your boots,” the Barcelona side can say be seen saying in Spanish (through Mirror) while pointing at Mbappé and being stopped by Moise Kean. Sergino Dest can also be seen trying to keep the couple apart.
Mbappé then responds twice with: “On the street, I’ll kill you.”
Then Gerard Piqué gets involved and asks: “Who are you going to kill? Who are you going to kill?”
Before Alba intervenes again with: “Look what this guy is learning.”
The confrontation was largely overshadowed by Mbappé’s impressive individual performance, as he clinically scored in the 32nd, 65th and 85th minutes to leave PSG with one foot in the Champions League quarter-finals.
The third of the France international was the best pick of the group, as he sent a first effort into the upper corner to complete a fluid counterattack from PSG.
Mbappé’s contract with last season’s defeated Champions League finalists expires in the summer of 2022 and he has been linked in a move to a selection of the best teams in Europe. The forward tackled his future full-time, insisting he is happy with the French champion.
“You have to leave [speculation go]”Said Mbappé.” I don’t listen to what people say. It’s a long-term reflection, not a game or two. I always said that I was happy here, and with this type of game I am even happier ”.
