Liverpool are reportedly strongly considering signing Adama Traore this month amid allegations of a dramatic price cut on the Wolves winger’s head.
Traore, 25, has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield in the last couple of seasons. Tottenham were also thought to be keen last summer, while Barcelona have been mentioned in connection with the player. However it is Red link that will not disappear en Jurgen Klopp looks to strengthen his attacking ability.
However, the Wolves’ valuation of Traore has always been an issue. In fact, at its peak, Black and Gold reportedly sought a fee of around £ 50 million for the Spanish flyer.
Since then, however, his shape and consistency have been declining. In fact, in 17 Premier League matches this season, he has yet to score or assist for Bruno Lage’s team.
Last season also yielded just two goals and two assists from 37 appearances.
And with his contract expiring in the summer of 2023, Wolves are apparently willing to let him leave now.
As such, Football Insider reports that Traore is for sale for just £ 18m. – a fall of around £ 32m. from his climax.
Now Daily Mirror claims that the valuation has once again aroused Klopp’s interest.
As the Reds are ready to lose Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah to AFCON, their attacking resources appear to be stretched.
However, the addition of Traore will ease the burden on Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota in the Liverpool attack.
The Spanish national team player has been with Wolves since 2018, when the West Midlanders paid Middlesbrough £ 18 million for his services. But his departure this month will see him depart for the exact fee they paid for his services.
Klopp has previously spoken about his admiration for Traore and said: [Traore] is unplayable in moments, it’s incredible. Which player – it’s not just him, but he’s so good. “

And Traore also has an admirer in Jordan Henderson, who also admits he does not like playing against him.
“[Traore] is very tough, strong, powerful, fast, he is hard to play against. “
Former Tottenham star Darren Bent feels he is still a top player and would show his true class under Klopp.
“On that team, he could be unstoppable,” he said talkSPORT. “His problem is consistency, but on the Liverpool team where they play with high pressure and energy, it could be different.”
And former Arsenal and England champions Jack Wilshere agreed, adding: “He would be unreal.”
