Alisson has been under fire lately, but will “sleep really well” according to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp after keeping a clean sheet in Tuesday’s 2-0 win over RB Leipzig.
Second-half goals from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane gave the Reds victory in the knockout stages of the Champions League in Budapest, before the return leg in Liverpool on 10 March.
However, before those goals, Alisson made a great save in the 46th minute to deny Christopher Nkunku.
The clean sheet comes after the Brazilian goalkeeper was criticized for his turnovers in the 4-1 loss to Manchester City and defensive confusion in the 3-1 loss to Leicester City in the Premier League.
“Definitely, definitely,” Klopp said when asked if Alisson was feeling better. “Honestly, he also had some great moments in the Leicester game, some brilliant saves. That’s how it is, but of course it helps.
“With a clean sheet, I imagine Ali will sleep very well on the plane on the way home and, as always, he helped us a lot.”

Liverpool’s triumph snapped a three-game losing streak amid a period of tumult for Klopp’s side as their challenge for the Premier League title fell apart, dropping to sixth place.
The German coach was delighted with his players’ response to last season’s Champions League semi-finalists, which was a morale boost although he insisted it was not a tonic for his problems.
“Look, we’re not kids anymore, so now we think ‘OK, now we won that game and everything is fine again,'” Klopp said.
“For me it is much more important that we go back to playing football well. Once again, it is not the first time, in recent weeks, I understand and respect it 100 percent, that nobody is really happy with the results, that is clear.
Klopp’s caution is understandable given that last month’s drop in form was halted with wins over Tottenham and West Ham before his latest crash.
He added: “I know Leipzig quite well and I know how dominant they can be, football wise, and how overwhelming they can be in a game from a physical point of view.
“That’s what we had to deal with tonight and the guys played a really good game, a really good game.”
