Juventus is preparing to offer Paulo Dybala and Federico Bernardeschi as part of a trade for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, according to a report from ESPN.
Pogba left Juventus for Manchester United in 2016 for a world record fee. Since then, it has been the center of much discussion, and the debate continues to rage as to whether it was worth the money.
However, there is no denying his obvious talent. The Frenchman has been consistently linked with a return to the Serie A champions, and recent comments from agent Mino Raiola added even more fuel to the fire.
If La Vecchia Signora wants to bring the World Cup winner back to the Allianz Stadium, then it may cost them a huge sum, one that may be unfeasible during the current financial climate.
Instead, they can propose a trade deal, with ESPN reporting that Paulo Dybala and Federico Bernardeschi could be offered to the Red Devils as final weight.
Dybala’s future at Juventus looks pretty bleak. Just months away from winning the Serie A Player of the Year, the Argentine forward has fallen out of favor with new coach Andrea Pirlo, making just seven starts in all competitions this season. The former Palermo player has reportedly been offered to each of the Premier League’s big six.
Bernardeschi is also in disgrace at the Bianconeri. The Italian winger has made just three starts this season, while appearing ten times as a substitute. Coach Pirlo has tended to prefer players like Federico Chiesa and Dejan Kulusevski in the side positions this season.
It’s unclear where they would fit in at Manchester United, especially given their attacking quality. However, the position on the right appears to be the position with the least competition.
