Some football fans were completely shocked after Newcastle forward Joelinton attempted a daring aerial kick against reigning champion Liverpool in Wednesday night’s draw.
In the 51st minute of the match, academy graduate Matty Longstaff fired a cross into the box, former Magpies star James Milner was unable to clear the ball, instead receiving a touch and letting it swing.
While floating just inside the box, Joelinton attempted an acrobatic effort with his back to the goal, unfortunately the forward did not hit the ball cleanly and bounced as the Reds cleared.

Does my MOTM have to be Joelinton for the 18-yard fly kick attempt and not get close to the ball?
Bruce for nearly hitting the linesman when he leaped forward to celebrate, a close second?

Newcastle recruited the Brazilian for a club record fee of £ 40 million in the summer of 2019 from Hoffenheim, according to BBC SportBut his time on the Tyne has been difficult so far.
Joelinton recorded just four goal contributions when he showed up for the North team in every Premier League game last season, but his performances have been much better this season.
One goal and two assists in 14 top-flight outings this season doesn’t sound like spectacular, but the 24-year-old has been working exceptionally hard, like last night, and he seems to be constantly improving.
The acrobatic attempt is not something Newcastle fans should laugh viciously at, it shows the confidence with which Joelinton is playing, which will be the key to his success.
