The Baltimore Ravens, running back JK Dobbins, were ready for a huge 2021, but an apparent knee injury could derail both his and the team’s plans.
No team needs to run back more than the Baltimore Ravens. This makes Saturday’s scene even more frightening.
Saturday night in the team’s final preseason game, the Ravens, running back JK Dobbins, went out to a screen before coming (legally) crushed by Washington Football Team corner Jimmy Moreland. The video shows it Dobbin’s left knee is bent straight back.
After the hit, the second-year runner did not get up until assistance came from the Baltimore sideline. Dobbins put no weight on his knee or leg before entering the medicine tent. Dobbins was then run into the locker room, pr. reports.
Ravens running back JK Dobbins apparently sustained a knee injury on Saturday
As a rookie from Ohio State, the Dobbins rushed to 805 yards and 6.0 yards per carry. Carry with nine touchdowns. He also recorded 18 catches on 24 goals for an additional 120 yards.
For Baltimore, losing the 22-year-old native of Texas would be a cruel blow. No team ran the ball more last year than Baltimore, highly dependent on quarterback Lamar Jackson and Dobbins to play the two-man RPO game. Without Dobbins, Baltimore would still play its system, but what does that mean?
The Ravens have their first regular season game on Sept. 13, an affair Monday night in Las Vegas against the Raiders. They open their home slate six days later Sunday night football against Kansas City Chiefs.
