Has Clayton Kershaw ever played a perfect game?
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones revealed the team could turn some heads and swap in the first round.
Later this month, the NFL Draft is coming here, and Dallas Cowboys fans everywhere will be waiting to see what Jerry Jones and the front office do to help this team improve. Could a surprising move be on the way?
This week, Jones said the team is considering a number of options, including advancing in the first few rounds. Clearly, there are players high on the board for Dallas, but they do not know if those guys will still be there when the team is on the clock.
Cowboys trading early in the draft is something to see
“I would trade with this draft,” Jones said via CBSSports. “Just to go in – much as you can say about it – what’s there and who’s on the other line, but yeah, I would swap up since we’re as low down as we are in the first two or three rounds. If we have a chance to and someone that we really coveted, sat at the bottom as [former All-Pro center Travis Frederick]who sat at the bottom [of the first round] and we were able to exchange and get him. ”
In the first round, Dallas currently has the overall pick No. 24. Judging from Jones’ quote, however, Dallas could very well end up trying to climb a little higher up to take one they are a fan of. There is a lot of need for this team on both sides of the ball, so the first-rounder will be crucial for Dallas.
There has been plenty of movement for Dallas this offseason, of course including the swap of Amari Cooper for the Browns. You never know, maybe the Cowboys will get an excellent wideout that Dak Prescott can throw to in the first round. Stick around.
