Talksport expert Jamie O’Hara has targeted Newcastle United to be relegated from the Premier League this season.

The former Fulham player believes the Magpies are currently out of shape and completely lacking in confidence.

On the other hand, Fulham is on the rise and has what it takes to overcome the decline this season.

O’Hara seems to have changed his mind about magpies in recent weeks. He recently claimed that Steve Bruce has done a good job at Newcastle and would keep them in the Premier League this season.

O’Hara told talkSPORT (via Chronicle): “I think (Fulham) are going to stay up. They are in decent shape, they have something between their teeth in terms of power and performance. They have the belief that they can win games now, and I think they are chasing Newcastle and Newcastle is gone.

“I just think they are completely dead on their feet. Callum Wilson is injured is a massive hit. They have no confidence, it doesn’t seem like they can get a result. They look mediocre in their performances.

“Fulham have something about them. The way they play, they are in all games. I think they are going to make a great comeback. “

Newcastle are in very bad shape at the moment and have lost four of their last six Premier League games.

Fans will expect a strong reaction from players in the coming weeks and it remains to be seen if Steve Bruce’s side can step up and get some positive results.

They are just three points above the drop zone and Fulham are breathing down their necks. The London side are undefeated in five of their last six Premier League matches and you can imagine their chances of coming out of the last three in the coming weeks.

Going down to the championship would be a catastrophic blow for Newcastle and fans are hoping their team can stay with a bit of luck.

Bruce’s tactics and Mike Ashley’s lack of investment have caught up with the magpies and now they are in a battle for survival.
