Christian Eriksen is furious about the lack of playing time at Inter Milan since he completed his move into the winter transfer market of the 2019/20 season. The Danish midfielder has not adapted to Antonio Conte’s playability and has yet to gain the trust of the former Chelsea manager. A BRAND report now claims that Eriksen has offered himself to Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid.
However, at the age of 28, the former Tottenham Hotspur needs to play day after day. That is why the player’s representatives have approached the two Madrid teams to explore a possible move.
Eriksen was once a key target for Real Madrid, however Los Blancos have left the Dane behind following the appearance of Federico Valverde and the return of Martin Odegaard.
Real are also interested in acquiring the services of Manchester United’s Paul Pogba. Eriksen would be much lower on Los Blancos’ target list.
Meanwhile, Atlético de Madrid doesn’t seem like an ideal club for Christian Eriksen either. Diego Simeone’s team is currently the leader of the La Liga table, however his style of play will certainly not match Eriksen’s creative style. The Danish midfielder would fight at Wanda Metropolitano as Simeone demands a high work rate and at the same time maintains a low block that could limit Eriksen’s creative side.
The best option for the Danish midfielder would be to return to Tottenham Hotspur instead of trying to sign for Real Madrid or Atlético de Madrid. The Spurs have Tanguy Ndombele, who has managed to turn his career around, however José Mourinho would certainly welcome Eriksen’s return.
The 28-year-old would have to compete with Ndombele, however, it would still be a better option than heating the bench at Inter or moving to Real Madrid or Atlético de Madrid where the situation would be the same.
