He would earn a transfer to Borussia Dortmund in January 2020, where his sensational form has continued; the 20-year-old having contributed an extraordinary 39 goals and nine assists in just 41 games with the Bundesliga team.

Here’s what Howey had to say about Haaland when he spoke exclusively to FFC:

“I wouldn’t be surprised. You hear rumors that Man City will do everything they can to get Erling Haaland. Given the connection to his father, I played Alfie, there’s a good chance that something could be negotiated there.”

Howey certainly seems to think that the fact that Haaland’s father Alf-Inge played for Manchester City could be a factor as the 20-year-old decides who to join next.

Considering his record of goals in recent seasons, there is no doubt that the £ 99 million qualified The forward would be an excellent addition to the City squad, but it remains to be seen if Pep Guardiola’s team can fend off the competition by signing.
