During a recent interview, Ralph Hasenhuttl has made it clear that he wants Danny Ings to commit his future to Southampton.

Ings has been on an incredible streak of form for a long time with the Saints, to the point where he is one of the most obvious forwards to consider for England’s team at next year’s Euro.

Unfortunately, after suffering a recent injury, many have wondered what his future will be like when he returns, especially now that he is entering the final 18 months of his contract with the club.

Hasenhuttl has noted that he feels that Ings shouldn’t throw away “something special” and should be looking for a new long-term deal.

Southampton looks like a team that could compete for a spot in the top six this season, and when Ings returns, fans won’t want conversations about a game hanging over his head.
