Pep Guardiola has left the door open for Ederson to score Manchester City penalties by saying that Rodri was lucky to have scored his against Tottenham today.
As reported by Sky sports Earlier in the week, Guardiola had eluded Ederson by taking forward from 12 yards and attempting to solve City’s problems from the penalty spot.
For a team of such high caliber, they have been woefully inconsistent when it comes to penalties, and Ederson has reportedly been good at turning them into training.
Although Ederson fought his way past the midline when City received a penalty against Spurs tonight, it was Rodri who took the ball and converted.
On that basis, you could expect him to take the next one, but speaking after the match, Guardiola suggested that place is still up for grabs, with Rodri lucky to have scored.
? “The receiver was not good, we were lucky. I love courage, but he was not a good taker. “

He is not being harsh either, Hugo Lloris has done well!
We all want to see Ederson shoot a penalty so hopefully that happens soon.
