Gary Neville suggested on Monday Night Football on Sky Sports that Tottenham Hotspur duo Gareth Bale and Dele Alli should be doing a lot more.
Spurs have lost four of their last five Premier League games and José Mourinho is under pressure. They have dropped to ninth place in the league table, and many experts have criticized Mourinho for his conservative tactics.
Jamie O’Hara on talkSPORT claimed that Mourinho is struggling to bring out the best in his players, suggesting that players like Bale and Alli have not been used properly.
However, Neville feels that both Bale and Alli should be so much more. The Sky Sports expert is not happy with Bale’s attitude and said the Welshman “has made me nervous all season seeing him smile on the bench.”
Similarly, Alli has struggled this season for regular games. He has barely appeared in the Premier League and was heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint-German in the January transfer window.

Alli’s situation is curious. The 24-year-old is a fickle talent, but he hasn’t been able to deliver in the past two seasons.
It is very difficult to say what the real situation is with Alli. Mourinho watches him in training on a daily basis, and he probably doesn’t feel like Alli is doing enough to get regular matches.
Bale signed on loan from Spurs in the summer from Real Madrid. The Welshman has been a frustrating figure so far, but he impressed in a cameo against Manchester City at Etihad last week.
Times reporter Matt Lawton has claimed that the reason Bale is being ignored is due to his physical fitness issues.
