Gary Neville celebrates Manchester United’s second place with champagne

Manchester United Gary Neville has taken to Twitter to celebrate after the Red Devils tied on points with Premier League leaders Liverpool.

United beat Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Friday’s late kickoff to even Liverpool’s points tally, though Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men are still behind the champions on goal difference.

However, being mathematically second was not going to discourage Neville. The Sky Sports star watched the contest from the commentary position tonight, before starting the post-game celebrations.

Shortly after the full-time whistle blew and Man United rose to second place in the Premier League table, Neville took to Twitter with a rather amusing clip of him opening a bottle of champagne.

However, he knows better than most that there is no prize for second place, nor does the Premier League decide on the table situation on New Year’s Day.
