Freiburg wrote the Bundesliga history when they put the upset of hosts Borussia Mönchengladbach to the sword with a ruthless first-half display, where they moved 6-0 ahead at the break on Sunday.
Fighting Gladbach was humiliated by high-flying Freiburg, who became the first team in the German top class to score five goals away from home within 25 minutes of a match.
Freiburg had lost their two previous games, but Maximilian Eggestein and Kevin Schade put them two goals ahead just five minutes.
Philipp Lienhart, Nicolas Hofler and Lucas Holer came on the field before Nico Schlotterbeck brought the fierce Freiburg ahead 6-0 at the break.
Stefan Lainer and Alassane Plea were replaced in the first half by a horror for the Foals, where boss Adi Hutter’s job definitely hangs in the balance.
Gladbach had previously been the only team to score five goals in the first 25 minutes of a match that came home against Braunschweig in October 1984.
