According to Turkish media Tribun Dergi and TRT Sport, former Manchester City and Hull player Omar Elabdellaoui has been hospitalized with a hand injury after the New Year celebrations.
Elabdellaoui, who is currently performing at Galatasaray after a six-year spell with Olympiacos, allegedly had fireworks explode in his hand during the celebrations, and the 29-year-old is now hospitalized.
The right-back made it into the ranks of Manchester City but never appeared for the now-Premier League giants, he experienced a six-month loan period with Hull in the top flight in the 16/17 season.

Now that the 47-game Norwegian international is receiving treatment for his injuries, we would like to send our best wishes to Omar and the Elabdellaoui family.
This is a stark reminder to be as cautious as possible when it comes to fireworks (we’re by no means suggesting that Elabdellaoui didn’t), but they are still dangerous even when handled carefully.
