FIFA has launched a new FIFA PlayOn podcast hosted by Liam Payne and sportscaster Jaydee Dyer, with each episode featuring a famous footballer talking about key moments throughout their careers and the songs that have been the soundtrack to their lives.
The eight-episode podcast is launched in collaboration with Universal Music Group as part of a new strategy, ‘FIFA Sound’, to create innovative and more meaningful connections between soccer fans, music enthusiasts, players, artists and the game. and the songs that all of them. Lion.
Available now, the first episode features Sevilla midfielder and former Croatian international Ivan Rakitic, as well as Colombian music group Morat. The second episode, available starting Wednesday, January 20, will feature USWNT icon and two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup winner Carli Lloyd and American singer-songwriter Rachel Platten.
Barcelona and Nigeria striker Asisat Oshoala will be a guest on episode three alongside Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage. Future guests will also include 2017 Puskas Award nominee Deyna Castellanos, Venezuelan musician Lele Pons, and British rapper Wretch 32.
New episodes will be released every Wednesday and player-selected playlists will also be posted on Spotify and Apple Music for listeners to enjoy.
