Hosts Al Duhail SC took home the FIFA Fair Play Award. Qataris played two games in the tournament when they got a 3-0 win in the first round against Auckland City due to the fixture being lost. Coach Sabri Lamouchi’s team lost 1-0 to the final third place Al Ahly SC in the second round, but finished in fifth place after defeating Ulsan Hyundai FC 3-1 three days later.
