Everton are looking to sign Robin Olsen to a permanent contract.

The experienced goalkeeper arrived from Roma on a one-season loan deal during the summer transfer window and has managed to impress Carlo Ancelotti with his contribution to the club.

According to Echo of LiverpoolEverton are looking to soon seal a permanent move for the Swedish international.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that the club will speak with the player and his agent to find a solution and the deal could be finalized in January or June.

He said: “Yes, I think we are happy to have him here. He is an experienced goalkeeper so I think we are going to talk to him and his agent to find a solution for him to be here permanently. It can be for January or June.

Everton need more competition for the starting goalkeeper job and Robin Olsen has proven to be a good addition so far. He will continue to pressure Jordan Pickford for the starting spot and it will be interesting to see if the Swedish international can make his way into the starting lineup this season.

The 6-foot-5 goalkeeper has 42 caps to his name and has the quality and experience to thrive in the Premier League.

Roma paid € 12 million for the goalkeeper in 2018 and they will look to get most of that back if Everton comes asking for a permanent transfer.
