Jean-Philippe Gbamin has left Everton to be loaned to CSKA Moscow until the end of the season, the Premier League club have confirmed.

Gbamin joined Toffees from Mainz in 2019, but the Ivorian midfielder has made just three starts for Everton following a series of injury problems since arriving at Goodison Park.

Although the transfer window for most of Europe closed at the end of January, Russian Premier League teams are allowed to pick up players until 22 February.

CSKA is in fourth place in the Russian league, eight points behind leading Zenit Saint Petersburg.
