Leicester City’s Demarai Gray could be poised for a King Power exit as one of Europe’s top clubs in the hopes that the open forward will be transferred for free when his contract expires next summer.
Gray, 24, joined Leicester City from Birmingham City in 2016 in a deal that cost Fox £ 4.59 million, according to Transfer market.
Since joining the Foxes four years ago, Gray has appeared in 169 games in all competitions and, somewhat disappointingly, has only managed to directly participate in 30 goals.
As the 24-year winger’s contract nears expiration next summer, Brendan Rogers could reportedly lose the Englishman in a free transfer.
According to Sun.In light of Gray’s decision not to extend his contract with Leicester City, a host of major clubs, including Marseille, Benfica and Monaco, are interested in signing him.
Given the fact that Gray only has six months left on his contract, foreign clubs can now speak with him to conclude a previously agreed contract.
It is not yet known which club is Gray’s favorite, however with potential suitors from a host of major leagues across Europe all interested in bringing him in, he will surely have a decision to make soon.
