Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf is one of the fastest athletes in the NFL. Remember when he ran a 4.33 40-yard line in the NFL combine? Or when he somehow chased Budda Baker and prevented a pick-six and reached a top speed of 22.64 mph? Or just any of his 29 touchdowns over the course of his three-season NFL career?
One has to ask oneself – how does anyone get so fast? He needs to be on a careful diet, right? Maybe he eats nothing but protein shakes? Maybe he counts every single calorie and carbohydrate and optimizes his intake in ways that would impress even the strictest professional dietitian?
Or maybe he eats one lot of candy.
When Metcalf appeared in NBA Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett’s “KG Certified” podcast, Metcalf was absolutely shocked when the hoops legend asked him how important nutrition was to his game.
“I’m probably the worst person to ask about it,” Metcalf replied, then began to explain how unusual his diet was.
DK’s diet is wild 😅

Metcalf elaborated that after his morning workout routine, he gets coffee that keeps him going until 6 p.m. 16.00 or 17.00. He then orders water and sweets – e.g. gums, Lifesavers and Skittles – around noon. 16.30, before he eats dinner at. 8 or 9 in the evening and then sleep. Not what your average nutritionist would recommend, but you can not argue with the results.
