Liverpool striker Divock Origi has been offered Inter as an opportunity to strengthen their attacking ranks, a report claims.

The Belgian national team player has had some sensational moments for the Reds. However, he has never been a solid starter among people like Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah on the team.

Origi seems to have settled for his role as the man to play the lead role with important goals from the bench. However, as he has entered the final year of his contract, speculation about his future has increased.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp admitted it in September he did not expect the striker to still be in Liverpool after the summer transfer window.

Origi has a performance option in its agreement, which can trigger a one-year extension. Nevertheless, there is currently more talk that he is leaving Anfield.

Newcastle are reportedly interested which they appear to be adding to their striker ranks after Callum Wilson’s injury.

According to FC Inter News, however, Inter have also been offered the chance to buy Origi. The Serie A club are looking to strengthen their attacking ranks with a new addition.

They are looking more towards the summer window to do so. In fact, they already had the Sassuolo pair Gianluca Scamacca and Giacamo Raspadori on their radar. Nevertheless, Origi is an option that has emerged for this month.

FC Inter News adds that the 26-year-old has decided he wants to leave Liverpool. What’s more, he would ‘strive’ to wear the colors of Inter. Torino’s Andrea Belotti is also now on Inter’s radar.

But the report so far states that no agreement has been reached on an agreement for Origi or Belotti.

said Klopp recently by Origi, who is currently out with injury: “Div is not available. Div did not train, Div is still injured and still recovering.

“So he can not help us in this moment, but I can not see any kind of scenario – pretty much anything can happen in life – but from this moment I will say that he will be here [beyond the end of the January transfer window].

“And hopefully it fits soon, because we could actually use him pretty well now.”

Origi backed the AC Milan switch

While Origi could still move to Inter, an expert has said that their rivals AC Milan would benefit from the striker’s signature.

Demetrio Albertini said: “Milan have to look to strikers who are kept on the bench or even in the stands and do not get much space in their current clubs, such as Origi in Liverpool.

“He would score a lot of goals in Serie A. You win a Scudetto thanks to assassins and it’s a midfielder who says that.”

Man Utd transfer news: Are Rice, Haaland and Zakaria better than what Rangnick already has?

Origi gets a key role when he soon returns from battle. In fact, Salah and Mane are at the Africa Cup of Nations, leaving a gap to fill Klopp’s attack.

The manager confirmed at his recent press conference that the player had resumed light training.
