Liverpool have received a significant injury boost ahead of their clash against Sheffield United at the weekend.
Portuguese international Diogo Jota is set to return to full line-up this week according to the Telegraph and manager Jurgen Klopp will wait for the 24-year-old to be available for selection against the Blades.
The Reds desperately need some attacking quality and the former Wolverhampton Wanderers star would greatly improve them.
Liverpool were at the top of the table when Jota was in shape and shooting, but his injury during December coincided with his drastic drop in form.
The likes of Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino have been quite mediocre this season and Jota completely outgrew them before his injury.
The Reds have come out of the top four and desperately need some inspiration. Qualifying for the Champions League should be your top priority right now and Jota’s return couldn’t have been better timed.
The 23-year-old has already scored nine goals for Liverpool this season and hopes to increase his account if he returns to action later this week.
Some Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the injury update and this is what they had to say.
He might as well give us the Champions League trophy now. Save the hassle
