Fabrizio Romano has stated that Diego Costa is interested in securing a move back to the Premier League, during an interview with Sky sports.
As the Sky Sports report points out, Costa is a free man after leaving Atlético de Madrid for free. The Brazilian-turned-Spanish only had six months left to fulfill his contract at Wanda Metropolitano, but an agreement was reached that allowed him to leave early.
the Daily mail He reported last week that the Wolves were considering making a move to sign Costa, with starting forward Raúl Jiménez out of action after undergoing surgery on a skull fracture he suffered in a collision with David Luiz at the Emirates.
Romano, speaking to Sky Sports, revealed that he has no knowledge of whether or not the Wolves’ interest is genuine, but states that Costa would welcome a move from a Premier League club with open arms:
“Expect to receive some offers from the Premier League. At the moment I have nothing confirmed about the Wolves. There are many rumors but nothing advanced ”.
“But sure, Diego is waiting for a call from the Premier League. He would love to come back, he loves the atmosphere. Let’s see. It will be interesting to have this type of forward available as a free agent right now.”
If that’s the case, the ball is in the Lobos court.
