Bayern Munich’s David Alaba reportedly agreed to verbally join Real Madrid, the La Liga giant.
Despite having enjoyed several years of great success in Germany during a period in which the Austrian raised all available silverware, the defender appears ready to move on.
After failing to agree on new terms with the Hans-Dieter Flick side, Alaba is only a few months away from becoming a free agent.
The versatile defender’s contractual status has rightfully attracted the interest of some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Premier League champions Liverpool.
Yet in light of winning the illustrious hat-trick with Bayern Munich last season, including the Champions League, Alaba looks like an accurate trade from Germany to Spain.
According to a recent report by prominent journalist Fabrizio Romano, Alaba has already verbally agreed to join Zinedine Zidane’s Los Blancos.
David Alaba has reached a verbal agreement with Real Madrid since the beginning of January. His pre-contract until June 2025 is ‘almost ready’, not yet signed.
Chelsea, Liverpool like other clubs keep trying to convince him … but Alaba’s priority is to sign for Real Madrid? https://t.co/LITUivZexn

Despite the agreement in principle, Romano also claims that both Liverpool and Chelsea continue to try to persuade the Austrian to change his mind.
Romano has revealed that if Alaba snubs the Premier League duo and signs on the dotted line at Real Madrid, he will sign a deal until 2025.
