An anonymous NFL owner told Jarrett Bell of USA Today that the co-owners are counting, which could lead to the removal of Dan Snyder.

Dan Snyder is no stranger to controversy and investigations. Recently, the Washington Commanders owner has been investigated by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Virginia’s Justice Office for financial irregularities.

It has apparently caught other NFL owners.

In a bomb report from USA Today’s Jarrett Bell, an anonymous NFL owner said the owners are “counting votes” to potentially oust Snyder as the owner of the Commanders.

Report: NFL owners vote to potentially oust Dan Snyder

It is important to note that in order for Snyder to be removed as Commanders owner and forced to sell the team, there must be 24 votes to do so. With the anonymous owner’s comments, they are at least investigating the possibility.

All of this stems from the fact that the commanders were the subject of a congressional committee inquiry that said Snyder may have kept two books of financial information to paint a different picture of the team’s financial situation, according to a report from Front Office Sports.

Not only that, but withholding of ticket revenue, which each team must share 40 percent of among co-owners.

This is not the first time that Commander’s organization has been investigated as they were the subject of an investigation into allegations of a toxic work environment. The NFL fined the Commanders $ 10 million after their investigation.

It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
