As reported by ussoccer.comChristian Pulisic set a new record during Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Leeds United at Stamford Bridge tonight.

Pulisic has endured a difficult campaign to date, having missed the start of the season with a hamstring injury he sustained in the FA Cup final. After getting in shape, a setback in that same injury ruled him out of more action.

However, he is now back and appeared against Leeds United this afternoon after Hakim Ziyech was injured. He scored the third and final goal for the Blues, justifying Frank Lampard’s decision to put him into action.

As reports, by scoring the goal against Leeds, Pulisic became the fastest American to score ten Premier League goals, and the winger did so in 30 top flight appearances for England.

As the report notes, Roy Wegerle of Coventry City was the previous record holder, having reached double digits in 49 appearances in 1994.

Pulisic has not only set a new record, he has absolutely surpassed the previous one!
