Chelsea reportedly have faith that they can win a competitive transfer battle for Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland this summer.
The Norway international has been a world-class player for Dortmund since moving to the Bundesliga giants in the middle of last season, scoring 45 goals in 46 games for the club in all competitions.
According to ESPNHaaland now has his pick from a long list of the European elite this summer, but despite this, Chelsea are said to still be confident of being able to draw him to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues showed their ambition in the transfer market last summer with a string of big-name signings like Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech and Ben Chilwell, and it looks like Roman Abramovich might be ready to get his checkbook out again.
Signing Haaland ahead of players like Manchester City and Liverpool, also mentioned as suitors by ESPN, would be a statement from the West London giants.
Given Werner and Havertz’s struggles up front at Chelsea, it makes sense that they are eager to land a scoring machine like Haaland.
The 20-year-old has a great future in the game and could establish Chelsea as a force for years to come if he ends up moving to Bridge.
