Chelsea are reportedly hoping that the recent arrival of Thomas Tuchel will help them beat Barcelona against a talented youngster from PSG.

The Blues were tipped last week by Mercato foot to try to seal a free transfer agreement for Kays Ruiz-Atil this summer.

The 18-year-old midfielder’s contract with the French giants expires at the end of June. To that end, the youngster can now speak to non-French clubs about a move at the end of the season.

Ruiz-Atil’s chances of playing for the first team have not improved Mauricio Pochettino’s arrival in Paris.

Before that, he had been given chances by former head of PSG Tuchel – racking up more than 180 minutes of action this quarter.

Mercato foot (via Sports witness) reported Chelsea held a meeting last year with the player’s entourage, with that interest that continues.

And with Tuchel now at Stamford Bridge, it seems his hopes of signing the player have risen significantly.

However, if the Blues want to get their man, they will have to beat the competition from Barcelona.

Ruiz-Atil was in the Barça quarry until 2015 and WHAT reports that the Catalan team is eager to bring him back.

Now it all depends on whether the player wants to team up with his former boss or go back to his old club.
