If Celtic fans were protesting Neil Lennon outside of Parkhead just a few months into the season, then you can bet your bottom dollar that they’ll think about doing it again.

In short, this has been a devilish season for The Bhoys. His fierce rivals now only need Seven points to clinch the title and if things weren’t already embarrassing enough for Celtic, they lost 1-0 to Ross County on Sunday.

As the field shortened and it seemed difficult to play on it, he summed up the Hoops’ season. It has been one full of holes, one in which they have been trapped in the mud.

They may have clinched the Scottish Cup in December, but when it comes to the league, they have been considerably off the beat. Lennon had designed five back-to-back wins in the SPFL, but this was another hint as to why he just has to step down.

However, the manager alone cannot be blamed. His players have not delivered and that rings true for many people. Ryan Christie missed an absolute babysitter after 36 minutes, but another of his bad performers on Sunday was Tom Rogic.

The Australian has been linked With the Asian shores in recent months and like Lennon, it would not be a surprise if summer is gone.

Rogic has often been fleeting and Sunday was no different for the attacking midfielder. Playing to the right of midfield this time, he struggled to enter the process and made a meager 17 happens throughout the contest.

For context, of those who started with Celtic, only forward Odsonne Edouard and goalkeeper Scott Bain managed less. On a night where the Hoops were carved twenty shots alone one of those opportunities was created by Rogic.

It was a difficult night for the 28-year-old who was met with fierce resistance from Carl Tremarco and Alex Lacovitti. Rogic won only three of the eleven Land and air duels that he played and despite his few touches of the ball, he still managed to lose it in 14 occasions.

How much did David Turnbull cost Celtic?

With Celtic chasing one goal for much of the game, his display should have left his coach quite dismayed. For a player in his position, his numbers have not been impressive all season.

Rogic has only scored two times and has recorded only four assists. The Hoops can easily do better than that insignificant exit and Lennon needs to get him off the team, he no longer deserves his place.

And in other news, Desmond would deal a major blow to the Celtic veteran if he named 62-year-old “architect” …
