Liverpool have recently been linked to Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma, and the Malian could be the man to replace Georginio Wijnaldum at the Merseyside club.
According to talkSPORT, Jurgen Klopp’s team, as well as Arsenal, are considering a move for the 24-year-old midfielder in January.
The Seagulls ace has been a mainstay on Graham Potter’s side so far this season, having made nine top flight appearances, contributing one goal and averaging a top-selling rating of 6.85 (per Who scored).
Transfermarkt currently rates the former Lille man on £ 11.7 million although considering that Brighton paid around £ 15 million to sign him in 2018, it seems unlikely the South Coast club would be willing to let him go for less than that, should Liverpool or Arsenal ask to sign him next month.
Graham Potter praised Bissouma earlier this year, after his performance in a 0-0 draw against the Wolves, saying:
“He has trained very well and is physically in a good place – against Wolves he gained a lot of possession, has shown good discipline and quality with the ball.
“He makes good decisions and he has the ability that the best players have, as he has the power and the athleticism to be able to use the ball well, so it depends on the tactical understanding of how we want him to play, and now he is good at that too.
