Competition: Spanish Segunda

Market: Mirande wins

Odds: 23/20 @ 888sport

Mirandes wants to sign their Segunda campaign with a storm on Friday night, and Mirandes welcomes Fuenlabrada to the Estadio Municipal de Anduva.

Beginning with the hosts immediately returning to lose weight after a toothless show last weekend, Mirandes has the feel of a side limping its way across the finish line. As it has already been confirmed that Joseba Etxeberria’s team will have to settle for a finish in the bottom half this season, the Blues have now lost five of their last six games. But if they managed to find a much-needed boost earlier this month when they got a 4-0 match against Ibiza, they have at least continued to impress at home this year. Despite enduring what has been a worrying shot over the past month, it should be emphasized that Mirandes have won five of their previous six Segunda competitions at the Estadio Municipal de Anduva, a race that dates back to to mid-February. Etxeberria’s men should just smell a chance here.

As for the visitors, while Fuenlabrada might have managed to gather a 0-0 stalemate against Gijon last weekend, José Ramón Sandoval’s men have long since confirmed their fate. Freely falling their way down to Spain’s third row and still sitting 12 points on drifting safety heading into last weekend, the Blues have only collected a single Segunda win from their last 11 attempts, a race that dates all the way back to the March 19. Likewise, as they suffered a 2-1 loss when they took the trip to Madrid last season, it should also be highlighted that Fuenlabrada have failed to win any of their last five straight meetings against Friday’s hosts. Although Mirandes may be in the middle of a recent heat, we’re backing up a home win here.
