BUFFALO, NY – The Bills have removed the starting defensive tackle Star Lotulelei and rookie right tackle Spencer Brown from the reserve / COVID-19 list, giving the team two starters on their way into a significant AFC East match against New England Patriots.
Lotulelei was placed on the COVID-19 list on the day of the Bills’ Week 10 match against the New York Jets. He has missed the last three games after being disqualified last season due to COVID-19 concerns and was a major missing component in Bills’ race defense. He has two layoffs this season.
“It’s great to have Star back,” said Bill’s defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier. “We definitely missed him.”
With Brown out in the last two games, the entire offensive line has had to shift to the right side, with right guard Daryl Williams playing right tackle and 2019 second round, Cody Ford filling in on the right guard. The lack of consistency on the offensive line has contributed to some of the offensive problems of the bill.
“They’re both healthy,” coach Sean McDermott said. “Our medical team did a fantastic job of helping them get through. I’m happy to see them and be back in a good mood and back with their teammates.”
In other moves, guard Jon Feliciano returned to training for the first time since he was placed on injured reserve on Nov. 6 with a calf injury. I’ve missed the last four games. Cornerback Tre’Davious White on injured reserve with a torn ACL. And offensive back lineman Tommy Doyle was added to the COVID-19 list.
