A bid has been placed on the takeover of Chelsea, but a competing bid has been given a “90% chance” of success, while a third is also in the works, according to reports.
After Roman Abramovich put the club up for sale last week, there has been a lot of talk about who will take it from their hands. And the first step is taken by a consortium led by American businessman Todd Boehly and Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss.
as per GOAL, they have submitted a formal bid. This is the second time Boehly has made such an approach after failing with a £ 2.2 billion deal in 2019.
It will potentially compete with Turkish billionaire Muhsin Bayrak. There has been skepticism surrounding his claims to buy the Blues.
Nevertheless, he reinforced Tuesday that he took a step. And he is very confident of success.
Talking to Oda TVhe said: “We have reached a certain stage. Our law and finance department will open talks with their in London on Thursday.
“That’s the way it is at the moment. On Thursday, we are announcing the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP).
“People are talking about it, we made some progress in the negotiations and the world believes we have a 90% chance of implementing the agreement. Abramovich thinks the same.”
Bayrak also claimed he would inherit Chelsea’s debt, which he estimated at around £ 680 million.
The second offer that could be on the way comes from US billionaire Josh Harris. Tea FinancialTimes claims he is considering a bid.
Harris owns a minority stake in Crystal Palace. In addition, he has invested in several other sports teams in his home country.
Abramovich therefore does not seem to lack opportunities. However, it remains to be seen whether they will meet his requirements.

Thomas Tuchel already has several options going forward. But for the most part, they have not performed their best this season. There has been a need for more from the two acclaimed strikers, Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner.
The trio Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech have all contributed, but there has been a drop in the form of all three.
The best performer has without a doubt been Kai Havertz. However, he develops and still adapts to English football.
