Barcelona have canceled their training session scheduled for Tuesday after two first team staff members tested positive for coronavirus.
Ronald Koeman’s team was preparing for their LaLiga match against Athletic Bilbao at the Sam Mamés stadium on Wednesday.
The Catalan club informed the sports and health authorities after the results of the tests on Monday.
A club statement said: “The entire team will undergo further PCR testing on Tuesday morning local time, in accordance with La Liga protocol.
“As a result, the training session scheduled for Tuesday at 11.00 CET has been postponed.
“Tomorrow the new training schedule and the subsequent press conference will be announced for Athletic Club – FC Barcelona [Tuesday]. ”
Koeman’s team is fifth in the table ahead of their trip to the Basque region to face Athletic, eighth.
Barça, which is 10 points behind the top of LaLiga, have won their previous two in their travels after being four league games away without winning.
