Eric Bailly’s teammates at Manchester United were quick to show their appreciation as the full-time whistle sounded after his brilliant 95-minute block turned out to be the game’s win.
While Bailly has had his fair share of injury problems since becoming a Manchester United player, when in form he has often proven his quality as a central defender. One of the best in the league, you could argue.
Bailly has had few more meaningful moments in the Man United jersey than in the 95th minute of tonight’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa, when a sensational block saw him preserve the Red Devils’ lead and as a result , tied them on points with the leaders. Liverpool.
