Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has broken his silence after missing two straight Arsenal games due to unspecified personal problems.
Arsenal defeated Southampton on Tuesday night, having been eliminated from the FA Cup by the Saints just days earlier. It’s been a mixed bag since Aubameyang last appeared for the Gunners, and Mikel Arteta is undoubtedly eager to have his star forward available as soon as possible.
It’s rare for a player to be absent in this way for no reason given, but that eluded the sensitivity of the issue, and Aubameyang clearly wanted to keep it a secret and have his privacy respected while dealing with the issue at hand.
Now that said issue has apparently been resolved, Aubameyang has taken to social media to post a statement, thanking everyone for their support and revealing that her mother has been battling the disease, but is thankfully now on the mend.

Wishing Aubameyang’s mother good health and keeping my fingers crossed, it won’t be long before he is available to perform at Arsenal once again.
