Manchester United and Atlético de Madrid lead their respective divisions, but with completely juxtaposed defensive records.
United, which was not in the title conversation a month or two ago, led the Premier League tonight with a 1-0 win over Burnley, with a deflected effort from Paul Pogba separating the two sides.
Across the continent in snowy Spain, Atlético de Madrid reinforced their hold at the top with a 2-0 win over Sevilla, another clean sheet for Diego Simeone’s men.
Their defensive record is just dumb, having conceded 18 fewer goals than their league-leading counterparts Man United, having played just one fewer game.
This statistic shared by Rich jolly on Twitter he sums up how crazy the Premier League has been this time and how incredibly robust Simeone has made his bottom line over the years.
La Liga leaders (Atlético de Madrid) have conceded as many league goals this season (6) as Premier League leaders in one match (Man Utd 1-6 Tottenham).

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was hanging by a thread after 6-1 loss to Tottenham; now he’s on his way to emulating former boss Sir Alex Ferguson. What a season, what a league!
