Aston Villa suffered their ninth defeat of the 2020-21 Premier League campaign yesterday at the hands of Leicester City, with the absence of skipper Jack Grealish playing a significant role in the 2-1 loss.
It is the first time in 15 months that the midfielder has not started a league game, ending a streak of 48 consecutive starts in the EPL.
With Grealish lost due to a leg injury suffered in training, Villa struggled to create plenty of opportunities against the Foxes, and his unavailability could strike a major blow in his top seven chances.
While coach Dean Smith expects the England international to return for the Leeds United clash on Saturday, insisting it is not a long-term issue, the BBC understands that he could be out for a month.
As a result, his report has left many Villa fans restless, with some of them taking to Twitter to react like this:

Grealish dragged Villa to safety last season, scoring eight goals and assisting another six in 36 Premier League games when they finished one place and one point above the relegation zone.
He has scored six goals and helped another 10 in 22 league games so far this season, and he is one of the reasons they are pushing for a top seven result.
Following the BBC, Villa’s star will miss games against Leeds, Sheffield United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, and Smith and the fans will really hope he doesn’t come to that given his importance.
In other news, a report has shared how news of Grealish’s injuries leaked.
