Arsenal are reportedly considering RB Salzburg’s Patson Daka and Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard as possible long-term replacements for star forward Alexandre Lacazette.
Lacazette, 29, joined Arsenal from Lyon in 2017 in a transfer that cost the Gunners hierarchy a whopping 47.7 million pounds, according to Transfer market.
Since joining Arsenal, the elite French forward has appeared in a total of 145 games and has accumulated 55 goals in all competitions, the latest in his team’s recent 1-0 win over Brighton.
Despite having a direct goal contribution of almost one in every other game, Lacazette’s long-term future has been put in doubt after his club recently chose not to renew his contract at the same time as it did with Pierre’s. -Emerick Aubameyang.
According to a recent report by CBS, the Gunners may be planning the 29-year-old forward’s departure.
CBS claims Mikel Arteta is considering RB Salzburg’s Daka and Celtic’s Edouard as long-term options to replace Lacazette with a summer move more than possible.
Daka, 22, has scored 49 times in 100 games in all competitions for RB Salzburg and Edouard, also 22, has scored 72 times in 150 games in all competitions for Celtic.
