Arsenal are set to rival Italian giants Juventus for the signing of Slavia Prague winger Abdallah Sima, according to a report by Calciomercato.
The Senegalese winger was signed by the Czech national team in the summer. He’s gotten off to a great start to his career at Slavia Prague, scoring six league goals in as many games, as well as another three in the Europa League.
This form has attracted the attention of several major clubs, with club president Jaroslav Tvrdik putting a £ 50 million price tag on his head, as reported Calciomercato. Arsenal and Juventus have been linked to a move for the 19-year-old.
Sima has been compared to French striker Thierry Henry, who played for both Arsenal and Juventus during his illustrious playing career. He also admires his Senegalese compatriot Sadio Mane.
Mikel Arteta’s page has been fighting for objectives this campaign. Only Fulham, West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United have scored fewer Premier League goals this season, and no one on their side has found the net more than three times. Adding a player with Sima’s goal record could go a long way.
Juventus have not had so much trouble hitting the target. However, they are the lowest scorers within the current Serie A top five, and Swedish winger Dejan Kulusevski is the only midfielder to have bagged more than once so far.
A stranger to his signing could be West Ham United, which is eighth in the Premier League at the time of this writing. East Londoners have a close relationship with Slavia Prague, having acquired Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal from them in the summer.

The former has apparently urged the Hammers to make a move for Sima. Talking to CT sport (Through the Quick), Soucek said: “From what I see, I have to say that I am excited for him (Sima). His goals are very similar to the ones I have been scoring.
“I have to say the West Ham guys or the media know about him. I would only be happy if another Slavia player came, but he is still far away ”.
