Barcelona fell in an embarrassing loss to Cádiz in La Liga tonight, with Álvaro Negredo scoring the winning goal in the contest.

Ronald Koeman has already had enough problems at the Camp Nou this season. While they have been almost flawless in the Champions League, they are currently in seventh place in La Liga, with today’s opponents ahead, although they have played two more games.

A loss to Cádiz was definitely not what the doctor ordered, but it is what was delivered, with former Manchester City striker Álvaro Negredo providing the shot after a proactive shutdown by Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

It’s great to see Negredo still shooting on goals even in the twilight of his career. It’s almost as good as watching Barcelona keep tripping.

They are not even in contention for the title at the moment, having lost to Real Madrid last season. Their problems are deep and will take much more than another management change to rectify them.
