Around ten minutes after James Maddison disallowed a goal against Tottenham, Leicester extended their lead against Spurs in the 58th minute of this afternoon’s intriguing Premier League clash.
Marc Albrighton launched a dangerous cross from the right wing, leaving Jamie Vardy to duel Moussa Sissoko in the air.
Vardy’s header went wrong, which isn’t surprising given the heavy pressure from Sissoko, but in a nightmare moment he floated square and Toby Alderweireld turned him into the back of the net.
The ball hit Alderweireld’s knee and went over the line, Hugo Lloris had no time to react to the change of flight of the ball and José Mourinho’s men found themselves 2-0 down.
