The Cowboys are entering their Week 18 game against the Eagles as the NFC East champions, but they desperately need to build some momentum after the season with a win over Philadelphia.

Dallas fans are not happy after their team’s ugly home loss to the Cardinals in Week 17. Kyler Murray continued his career-long dominance of every opponent he meets at AT&T Stadium. The end result was not fatal for the Cowboys, but they need a bounceback performance in Philadelphia in their regular season finale.

Both teams have secured their playoff spots, but neither of them wants to lag behind in the offseason losses to their division rivals. The Eagles squeaked of Washington with an ugly victory to ensure they would not rely on a win over Dallas to secure a spot in the playoffs. It was hardly a work of art by Jalen Hurts and his teammates.

Saturday night’s match is important for both NFC East enemies. Here are five bold predictions about how the Cowboys will perform on the big stage.

The Dallas defense will provide 75+ rushing yards to Jalen Hurts

Hurts were clearly limited in last week’s matchup against Washington. He threw just 72 yards in his limited duty, but he still ran 34 yards on just eight carries against Ron Rivera’s defense.

Expect the Eagles’ coaching staff to knock Hurts to the ground this week. They understand that allowing him to be a freewheel playmaker is their best path to off-season success on the offensive. He will run the ball early and often against Dallas’ inconsistent defense. 15 carries for 75+ yards feels like a safe bet for the mobile quarterback.
