NFC Championship Game: 5 Bold Predictions for 49ers vs. rams
5. Matthew Stafford doubles Jimmy Garoppolo’s total passing yard
While Jimmy Garoppolo ended his regular season in 2021 with over 300 yards against the Los Angeles Rams, he has not come close to that during the playoffs. As he plays away against the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers, Garoppolo has only mustered 303 yards in total and has yet to find the goal zone through the air.
Matthew Stafford, on the other hand, is fresh on a 366-yard effort against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Rams will look to continue moving the ball through the air this Sunday against Los Angeles. This 49ers team has done an excellent job against the pass this offseason, shutting down Dak Prescott and Aaron Rodgers, but Stafford are likely to double Jimmy G’s passing yard output in this one.
